Because it is so cold here...

Russell feels the need to wrap up in the biggest blankets that he can find and if he sees one laying around he insists that he be wrapped in it. Russell got this balloon at the 24th parade and thought that it was so cool that if he let it go it would float to the ceiling, he would pull it down and then let it back up. I was laughing so hard that he thought that something was funny too.

If you ever have the opportunity to talk with Russell on the phone this is what I get to see. He loves to here voices on the other end. He does not typically want the phone if no one is talking. I put it on speaker so that one I can here, and because he has not quiet figured out where the sound comes from.

Bugs and more

Can you see Russell in the bucket of animals? He thought he was so funny.

And one day Russell decided to wear the bucket around and push another bucket.

If any of you really know me I am terrified of bugs, and crickets and cockroaches are in the list of creepen-me-out! So the other morning there was a cricket and I squished it with my sandal, and of course Russell was right there watching my every move. We flushed the squished remains and said by to the bug, like we always do. Then Russell went out picked up my sandal and started smacking the floor and the wall and door. He was "killing Bugs" I was so proud of him.

First Video

Ok so here is our first try at putting a video on that will really work, with sound and all! Yesterday I was driving home from the store and I heard this clicking sound coming from the back seat. I turned around and Russell was just in his own world clicking his tongue. I got him to do it when I got home. First he wanted to wave to the camera. But he was way more interested in eating watermelon. I would do it back to him and he thought that was hilarious!

4th weekend!

We had a fun 4th here are a couple of pictures. We went shooting after the parade in Boulder City and we took these head phones with us but we ended up leaving Russell in the truck with the one who was not shooting with the AC on. But he loves to wear these around the house if you can't tell! He just laughs, but that could be because we are laughing at him. In this picture they are squeezing his cheeks making him look chubby. ha ha... We lit a couple of fire works and Russell really enjoyed it. He even got brave enough to hold a sparkler. A little too brave he kept trying to put in in the neighbor boys face and since I would not let him do that he decided to try his own face. But I did not allow that one either.
He was so supper cute with this flag that he got at the parade he would wave it in the air and had a great time.
Dad and Russell waiting for the parade to start! We got there a little early.
And Russell even got a sucker which was a good thing at this point because it was half hour past his nap time and he was loosing it. Notice the flag still waving? We had a ton of fun. As soon as we put him in his car seat he was gone. We did not even stay for the end of the parade.
