Bithday parties!

We Have come to that time of year for our little ones to be yet another year older. Autumn tuned 5 and Russell turns 7. We had two parties. Autumn had a traditional party with games and several friends and Russell got to invite two friends and they went and saw kung fu panda 3. They all started at our house and had pizza and cupcakes and then Chad took the boys to the movie. And I stayed with the girls and ran the fairy party. We had a wild fun time!

First Day!

We have had so many firsts in our life this summer and today we got to send Russell off to his first day of 1st grade. He was so excited, he did not even turn to say by. He loved that he got to have recess twice! He also got to have PE! We took our bikes to get him too school and home and it was a great idea, the traffic is horrible considering it is Twin Falls I was a bit surprised! Overall he has some adjusting to do with being at school all day and I need to pack a bigger lunch. He told me that the only thing in his lunch box was empty wrappers. He asked me to pack him two lunches for tomorrow.
I looked all over for a preschool for Autumn but she will be doing mom School for this year and will be so ready for kindergarten next year! She is funny and really is ready to do exactly what Russell is doing!

Fishing trip

Last Saturday we went for a quick fishing trip. The fish really were not wanting what we had, but Autumn caught her first fish and loved it. It is always fun to get out.

Vacation!

We went on a wild vacation! Chad had a conference in Florida so after he had been there for a few days the kids and I flew out and met him there. We got to stay in the amazing hotel that the meetings were in and play on the private beach and in the giant pools. The first day we hit the beach and had a great time. We played in the ocean every day of our trip, minus Sunday.
Both kids loved the Ocean and it was so warm and beautiful.
Autumn was always wanting to spend more time looking for sea shells and digging in the sand.
Autumn fell asleep on the beach, I covered her with a towel and then buried Russell, his eyes are closed because it was too sunny. When it came to taking pictures he was always squinting from the sun. We played on the beach a lot while Chad was in meetings. He always knew where to find us.

Russell and Autumn got new shirts from Grandma and Grandpa Johnson and got to wear them for the first time they were really excited, and this is from the balcony of our room on the 21st floor!

While at the conference one thing Chad had to do was present this case. His poster is awesome!

This was Sunday after church this is as close as we got to the ocean that day.
There was an authentic Argentine place on the board walk we had to go get some empanadas! They were really good. I like Chad's better but they were still really good.

We made it on to the boat on Monday morning.

The second night the little kids area did a princess night for Autumn's age group. She loved it!
Every night the kids looked forward to seeing a new towel animal on the bed.
Their dreams came true when we came to this pond filled with rescued sea turtles.

We went to an aquarium and saw lots of fish.

They both got to touch a starfish in the petting tank. That was good, because we later saw a starfish in the ocean and they didn't feel the urge to touch it.

Not quite sure what this helmet was there for, but Russell liked putting his head in it.

This was the cruise ship we were on.
It was a great vacation! We all had a really good time, and weren't ready to leave. On our way home in the airport, both of the kids were ready to plan our next vacation.
