Wild fun!

This weekend we finally had Chad. So we drove for about 2 hours and went to some sand dunes and Russell got to go try riding off of pavement! Chad took his bike too and they all took rides. I stayed in the truck and stayed warm with the kid that was not out riding.
After the dunes we drove for another hour and a half to some natural hot springs. I took the pictures before I got in. I was not going to get in and out it was too cold. The water was so nice and warm! We stayed there for about 1.5 hours.

Yesterday morning, we went out before it started to rain again and we build this snowman his name is Sneezy.
And in the front yard we built two snow-ball walls.
Then we went in and had snow cones. Not hot chocolate. I bought the three flavors on clearance at the end of summer. he he he     They thought that it was the best!
I made these truffles to go to Chad's work party. I forgot to take a picture till we were sitting in the car outside the house we were going in. Going clockwise: the nut covered ones are chocolate truffles, then peanut butter truffles, then caramel chocolates, then chocolate chip cookie dough truffles, and last mint cookie truffles. I also made chocolate covered cherries two weeks ago but they still have not set up. Maybe by Christmas!

Salt Lake Lights

We were able to go to Salt Lake and enjoy some of the fun there a couple of weeks ago. Russell loved this drummer.
We took the TRAX (train) to temple square and the kids thought that it was the best thing ever!

The lights were amazing as always. And the temperature was great as well. It was almost warm. Which meant that there were a million people there!

They loved the lights in the water!

The visit and rain

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson came to visit this last weekend and we had so much fun with them I did not get pictures of our adventures because I didn't want to hurt my camera. But Grandma made their Halloween costumes this year and they are amazing! The kids love them too.
It was Grandma's Birthday the week before but since we missed the actual day we made a cake and celebrated.
When the big boys were at the priesthood meeting Grandma got to read the bed time stories.
A few weeks ago they got into my old fabric an Russell found an old pair of my pj pants and then he shoved some toys into the legs and danced around.
Two weekends ago it rained and rained. This was the street leading into our neighborhood. If you look you can see the curb and sidewalks are completely covered.

Outside

We have been on several hikes in the last month. Hoping to get the kids ready for some bigger hikes. This one Russell loved this tree. He has always liked to look for things in nature that make circles. He says that they are eyes.

We also got Autumn her own water backpack so she does not have to always be sliming ours. Now they each have one and oh how happy everyone is.
Here we are at the bottom of Stewart Falls.
Last Friday we woke up early and I dressed the kids up and myself like pirates and we went to Krispy Kream to get some free doughnuts. It was great!
On Saturday my parents were here to go the BYU football game that evening so in the morning we went to Bridal Vail Falls.

Zion's Subway

Chad, my Mom, my Uncle and I got to hike the Zion's Subway recently. It was a beautiful day! It was good and hot so the water was not horrible to get into. We had a great time and hope to do it again soon.

Residency Graduation

Another chapter in our lives has come to a close. Chad Graduated from his Family Medicine residency the last weekend in June. It was a very nice graduation and we had a great time. And we were so happy that we had our parents and Chad's grandmother to join us.

These are the others that graduated with him.
This is Chad's nurse at the residency, she was the best!
We are now in Utah where Chad has started his one year fellowship in Sports Medicine with BYU and UVU.

Chad's Birthday

Chad was post-call today, we picked him up from the hospital first thing this morning and then the kids had to show him his birthday cake, then let him take off his jacket.
Then they insisted on him having to do a treasure hunt to find his gifts, he found them.
Later in the day we went for a much needed break from inside and we went for a little stroll. We had a great time.
"What would you do with two little mischiefs like Twinkle and Boo."
Autumn was so excited we walked on the road for a little and she thought that all the white rocks were fossils and needed to pick them all up and take them home. She had to leave all but one, which she was ok with.

We finished our day with some Yoda cake. Chad says the force will be with him tomorrow at work. :)
